Insurance claims
Geyser burst? We deal directly with your insurer.
We're contracted to the major insurers on geyser claims. That means one call to us instead of a scramble to find an approved plumber — we assess the geyser, do the work, and handle the claim paperwork.
Contracted to the major insurance companies. To be confirmed with the company before go-live.
How it works
How a geyser insurance claim works with us
A burst or failed geyser is usually covered by household insurance. The part people find stressful is the process — so here's the short version of how we take it off your hands.
-
You call us — or your insurer sends us
Phone our 24-hour line the moment the geyser goes, or give your insurer our details when you lodge the claim. Either way, we make contact and arrange to come out.
-
We assess the geyser
We inspect the geyser and the damage, make the situation safe (water and power isolated), and establish exactly what's failed and what's needed.
-
We do the work
We carry out the repair or replacement — the cylinder, element, thermostat or valves as needed — and fit the drip tray, overflow and safety valves correctly.
-
We handle the paperwork and issue the CoC
We complete the assessment and claim documentation your insurer needs, and issue a Certificate of Compliance for the work where applicable, so the claim can be settled.
What you'll need
What to have ready
To make the claim go smoothly, it helps to have:
- Your insurer's name and your policy number.
- A claim number if you've already lodged the claim.
- Rough idea of the geyser's age and location (roof space, wall, outside).
- Access to the geyser and the main water and electricity isolators.
Not sure of any of it? Call us anyway — we deal with this every day and can talk you through it.
Straight talk
What we won't do
We keep this honest, because an insurance claim is not the place for guesswork:
- We don't name specific insurers here until the company confirms which panels it's on. To confirm
- We don't quote claim-approval rates or turnaround times we can't stand behind.
- We don't decide your claim — your insurer does; we do the assessment, the work and the paperwork that supports it.
Not just geysers
Escape-of-water and other plumbing claims
Burst pipes and hidden leaks are often covered too. If you've got water damage from a plumbing failure, call us — we can assess it and advise whether it's worth a claim.
